The Challenge

The crypto wallet market was missing a crucial piece: intuitive NFT media consumption. While users were purchasing music and video NFTs, they had no elegant way to actually enjoy them within their wallets.

  • Fragmented Experience: Users struggled to access and play their audio/video NFTs

  • Missed Revenue Opportunity: Growing NFT market demand wasn't being captured

  • Complex Navigation: Existing platforms had clunky interfaces and poor aesthetics

The Solution Strategy

How I approached the core challenge:​

Instead of building a separate app, I strategically integrated the media player directly into the existing wallet infrastructure. This decision was crucial because:

  • Users already trusted the wallet with their valuable NFTs

  • Integration felt natural rather than forced

  • Leveraged existing user base and behavior patterns

Research Insights That Shaped Design

Key Findings:

  • Users wanted seamless integration within their existing wallet workflow

  • Visual aesthetics were as important as functionality for NFT collectors

  • Users needed easy discovery of related content from same creators

  • Trust and security were non-negotiable for valuable NFT assets

Design Execution

Dashboard Integration was designed for minimal visual impact, using familiar media icons for instant recognition and providing quick access without disrupting existing wallet workflows.

Media Player Features include an adaptive interface that adjusts for audio and video content, intuitive controls aligned with the platform’s design language, and secure playback that verifies NFT ownership. It also supports creator discovery by showcasing related NFTs from the same artist.

What I Learned

Users favored enhancing existing tools over introducing standalone apps, reinforcing that integration beats isolation. Premium features tied to token ownership enabled natural monetization without feeling forced. Additionally, audio and video NFTs revealed distinct interaction patterns, requiring tailored design approaches.​

The success of this project showed that users don't just want to own NFTs, they want to experience them. And when you make that experience seamless and valuable, users will pay for premium access.
